Description
Forage & Feast
Join us in the local woodlands for a relaxed and immersive day of foraging, fire, and food. This is a hands-on practical course where you’ll not only learn to identify wild ingredients, but also help turn them into a shared feast cooked over an open fire.
We’ll begin with a guided foraging walk of approximately one hour through the local woodlands. While you’re out gathering and learning, the fire will be set up and ready back at basecamp. Along the way, you’ll select ingredients that will go straight into the meal, gaining insight into what’s edible, how it’s used, and how availability changes with the seasons.
Once back at camp, you’ll get involved in preparing and cooking the food together over the fire. The menu is always seasonal and varies depending on what nature provides, making every course a little different.
Past dishes have included:
-
Fruit crumble
-
Mixed wild salads
-
Fried wild edibles
-
Battered greens with aioli
-
Pickled wild garlic
-
Herbal teas
-
Herbal beers
-
Medieval pigeon & plum
-
Chestnut pancakes
-

This is a social, sensory experience designed to connect you with the landscape, your food, and the people around the fire.
