Over the course of four weekly lessons, you\u2019ll develop essential identification skills, explore the edible and medicinal potential of local plants, and learn how to safely distinguish them from poisonous lookalikes.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"482\" data-end=\"732\">Each session begins with a short guided walk to collect a selection of seasonal plants. Afterwards, we\u2019ll gather at <strong data-start=\"598\" data-end=\"613\">Aphra Bakes<\/strong> to examine our finds in detail\u2014using a range of trusted reference books to cross-check and expand our understanding.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"734\" data-end=\"995\">As part of the course, every participant will receive a <strong data-start=\"790\" data-end=\"819\">personal foraging journal<\/strong>, where you\u2019ll record your discoveries, notes, and reflections. This will become a valuable tool to track your progress and support your independent practice beyond the club.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"997\" data-end=\"1039\">What you\u2019ll learn across the four weeks:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1040\" data-end=\"1289\">\n<li data-start=\"1040\" data-end=\"1091\">\n<p data-start=\"1042\" data-end=\"1091\">Key plant identification skills and terminology<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1092\" data-end=\"1163\">\n<p data-start=\"1094\" data-end=\"1163\">How to recognise and recall edible, medicinal, and poisonous plants<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1164\" data-end=\"1217\">\n<p data-start=\"1166\" data-end=\"1217\">Common and botanical names for your chosen plants<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1218\" data-end=\"1289\">\n<p data-start=\"1220\" data-end=\"1289\">Techniques for building confidence in safe and sustainable foraging<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1291\" data-end=\"1579\">To support your learning, you\u2019ll also work through a set of structured activity worksheets, helping to cement your knowledge week by week.
